Name: Grand Corbin Manuel Grand Cru
Variety: Merlot and Cabernet grape
Region: Bordeaux
Country: France
Year: 2009
Price: $22.95

Winery Review: Blend of Merlot and Cabernet grapes from the Right Bank region of St. Emillion. A ripe blend of red berries and dark plum with some leather, vanilla, floral and persistent tannins. The acidity is bright and balanced and definite potential for aging. It conveys a southern French feel with its rich fruitiness and powerful dry tannin. It has concentration and power, and will develop well over the medium-term. Drink from 2016.

My review:This a blue glass corked bottle wine. The complexion of this wine is dark purple red, like the combination of grape and ripe plums. The bouquet was raspberry, cherry and some forest floor. The taste is the same but a  hint of coffee and spice. Because it is so aged it is a little spicy and acidic. The Bordeaux blend is perfect with red meat or lamb chops or even grilled lamb steaks.
