Name: Dom du Mistral Plan de Dieu
Variety: Grenache with Syrah, Mourvedre, Carignan, and Cinsault the signature Rhone
Region: Cotes du Rhone, Rhone
Country: France
Year: 2014
Price: $12.99

Winery Review: Dark and brilliant purple, with subtle notes of red cherries and spices. It has generous volume of red fruits and a full body finish. Pairs well with duck, lamb, stew, or stuffed eggplant.

My review: This is very dark purple and a slight bit of red, the mourvedre gives it the color. I do not smell much of the aromas in this wine. It is a little oaky but not intense. The taste is dirty, tangy, dry, acidic, spicy, and fruity. French wines tend to be a little dirty.
