Name: Corvallis Cellars Pinot Noir
Variety: Pinot Noir
Region: Willamette Valley, Oregon
Country:  United States
Year: 2013
Price: $16.99

Winery Review: This silky fruit-forward, medium-bodied wine features aromas of raspberries and florals followed by flavors of black cherry and spice. This wine is rich, layered and oaky. Complements a wide variety of food. This is outstanding wine value. Better than wines costing 2x more. This knocks the socks off of almost all of the California Pinot Noirs.--Avid Explorer

My review: This is a nice ruby red wine. The smell is acidic, plum, dark cherries, oaky and pomegranate. It is unique for Pinot, the acidity is from the pomegranate. The taste is leathery, raspberry, tangy, acidic, dry, spicy and a smoky finish of oak. This is a well paired with chicken, salmon, indian cuisine, goat meat curry, and tika chicken.
